It's Today!!!!

If you live in Alaska today is a special day! October 6th is the 2011 distribution day for the Permanent Fund Dividend and this years amount is $1,174!

The PFD is a yearly stimulus received by Alaskans (mostly) based on oil revenue the previous year.

For some people this will mean that they will get to buy brand new big screen tv's, put down payments on new cars, or treat themselves to something special. 

For me it means that I am going to be able to get caught up on my bills!
